We’re looking for a motivated, creative, and highly organized Assistant Studio Manager – Marketing & Events to join our Growing team.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines studio operations, sales, member experience, social media/content creation, and event coordination. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, enjoys connecting with people, understands social media, and can help turn ideas into action.
Job Summary
The Assistant Studio Manager supports Studio Management in the day-to-day operations and continued growth of BODYROK White Plains.
This individual will work Studio Advisor/management shifts while serving as a leader and resource for our Studio Advisor team. In addition, this position will take ownership of executing the studio’s social media and event calendar under the direction of Studio Management.
The right person won't simply wait for a task list. We're looking for someone who sees what needs to be done, brings new ideas to the table, and follows projects through from start to finish.
Studio Operations & Leadership
- Support Studio Management with day-to-day studio operations.
- Serve as a point of contact and leader for Studio Advisors when management is not present.
- Help train and onboard new Studio Advisors.
- Reinforce studio policies, sales expectations, customer service standards, and operational procedures.
- Help ensure proper member and guest check-in procedures are followed.
- Assist with member questions and concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Monitor the studio environment and ensure it remains clean, organized, welcoming, and well maintained.
- Assist with retail merchandising, inventory counts, supplies, and maintenance needs.
- Support Studio Management with team communications and employee recognition initiatives.
- Help identify opportunities to improve studio operations and the overall member experience.
- Take initiative and perform responsibilities without requiring constant direction or micromanagement.
Sales & Member Experience
- Deliver the BODYROK Service Promise and create a welcoming, high-energy experience for every member and guest.
- Build relationships with potential, new, and existing members.
- Tour prospective members through the studio and explain BODYROK classes, equipment, memberships, packages, and promotions.
- Follow up with leads and first-time guests to help convert them into members.
- Promote and sell memberships, class packages, retail, and current studio offers.
- Work toward individual and overall studio sales goals.
- Support Studio Advisors in improving sales techniques and achieving studio goals.
- Help drive member engagement, retention, referrals, and community involvement.
- Recognize opportunities to make members feel appreciated and connected to the BODYROK community.
Social Media & Content
- Execute the studio's social media and content calendar under the direction of Studio Management.
- Maintain an organized monthly content calendar for upcoming promotions, events, theme classes, and studio initiatives.
- Create and post the monthly studio schedule.
- Create and post content promoting theme classes, studio events, pop-ups, challenges, partnerships, and special activations.
- Ensure upcoming events and promotions are marketed with sufficient lead time.
- Create social media content supporting memberships, intro offers, packages, retail, and studio promotions.
- Capture high-quality photo and video content during classes, events, and throughout the studio.
- Create and edit Instagram Reels, Stories, graphics, and other short-form content.
- Maintain an active and engaging Instagram Story presence throughout the week.
- Highlight instructors, members, studio milestones, celebrations, and community moments.
- Maintain an organized library of photos, videos, graphics, and evergreen content.
- Stay current on social media trends, trending audio, and content ideas that align with the BODYROK brand.
- Ensure all content is accurate and proofread before posting, including dates, times, instructor names, pricing, and promotional details.
- Monitor social media comments, tags, mentions, and messages and respond or escalate when appropriate.
- Review basic social media performance to identify which types of content are resonating with our community.
- Proactively bring fresh content and marketing ideas to Studio Management.
Events & Community
- Assist Studio Management with planning and executing theme classes, member events, pop-ups, challenges, partnerships, charity classes, and studio celebrations.
- Maintain an organized calendar of upcoming studio events and activations.
- Brainstorm new theme classes, events, partnerships, and community-building opportunities.
- Help coordinate event details including instructors, vendors, partners, giveaways, decorations, signage, and other event needs.
- Identify and connect with local businesses and potential community partners for collaborations and studio activations.
- Communicate with vendors and partners leading up to events to confirm details and logistics.
- Assist with sourcing event materials, giveaways, prizes, and decorations within approved budgets.
- Develop and execute the social media promotional plan for each event.
- Assist with event setup, execution, and breakdown.
- Attend select studio events and special classes as needed.
- Capture photo and video content during events for social media and future marketing.
- Look for opportunities to expand BODYROK's presence and relationships within the local community.
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of customer service, sales, hospitality, retail, fitness, or similar experience preferred.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Social media and/or content creation experience strongly preferred.
- Comfortable creating content for Instagram, including Reels and Stories.
- Experience with Canva, CapCut, or similar content creation tools preferred.
- Strong understanding of social media trends and what makes engaging content.
- Mindbody experience is a plus.
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Creative and comfortable bringing new ideas to the team.
- Independent self-starter who can manage projects and deadlines.
- Friendly, outgoing, energetic, and comfortable meeting new people.
- Able to provide direction and support to Studio Advisors.
- Passionate about fitness, wellness, and building community.
- Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends based on studio and event needs.
Educational Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach as needed throughout a shift.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to move throughout the studio while assisting members, supporting operations, and capturing content.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced boutique fitness studio environment.
- Noise levels may be loud during classes.
- Must be comfortable interacting with members, instructors, Studio Advisors, vendors, and guests.
- Must be comfortable capturing content in an active studio environment while following studio guidelines and respecting member privacy.
Schedule & Compensation
Part-Time | Approximately 20–25 Hours Per Week
$22–$25 per hour, based on experience + sales commission
